LONG- HAUL, FLATBED TRUCK DRIVER FOR ET TRANSPORT
MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK
The Long-Haul Flatbed Driver transports finished goods and raw materials over land to and from customers locations. The driver is responsible for ensuring that shipments arrive in a secure and timely manner. The driver is responsible for proper inspection of the vehicle, trailer, and the load (ensuring load is secure and safe) on a daily basis, before, during, and after each trip. The driver is required to maintain eLog driver logs and comply with driving rules and regulations at all times.
The driver will be required to drive long hours and will be on the road for extended periods of time.
Driver will be required to assist with loading and unloading shipments including shunting trucks in our yard.
The driver will be required to communicate, using on-board communication devices and cell phone, with customers, dispatch, safety, and other drivers.
Drivers are expected to possess the skills for minor repairs in-the-field (fuses, bulbs, batteries, etc.)

Permanent, Full-time, Employee, approx. (70 hours per week), Shifts, Weekends, Day, Night, Evening
0-6 months truck driving experience
Some Secondary School
Valid Driving School certification
Valid AZ License (or ability to obtain based on current credentials)
Ability to enter and leave United States
Clean Criminal Record Search
Pre-Employment Substance Screening
Experience with GPS/Navigation Systems
$21 CAD per hour; Paid Wait Time and Layovers, extra pick-ups, etc. And/Or

Documentation: Driver Logbook, Bills of Lading, Pre and Post- Trip Inspections, Maintenance and repair reports, Accident and Incident Reports.
Equipment: Oversee Condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment as per regulations. Monitor Vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Load Securement; tarping, strapping, chaining, etc.
Travel: Plan routes and travel schedules. Abide by international regulations overseeing driver logs
Communications: Be able to communicate clearly with customers, dispatchers, safety and compliance and other drivers.
